Take Advantage of Mobile Printing at Your Library
Your Abilene Public Library has offered printing services for years on library computers. Although use of the computers is free, printing fees are $0.15 per copy black & white, $0.45 in color. For most of us, use of printing serves at libraries is standard. If it's not something we need to do on a regular basis, it may be more cost effective to print from your library rather than spend money for a printer and replacement ink cartridges. If you have a smartphone, tablet or PC, did you know you can avoid the wait?
Mobile printing is available at all library locations where the public is able to bypass using library computers and submit your print jobs wirelessly through your devices. As long as you're connected to Wi-Fi, or the Internet, that's pretty much all you need. Use of this service is free and we only charge for your printing.
Print jobs can be sent from the comfort of your home and picked up at a later time when you visit the library, or you may access mobile printing with your devices inside the library if you're in a rush. It's relatively easy to get started, and to learn how to use the service, visit our Mobile Print Page on our website.
Please Note: The library will only hold onto submitted print jobs for the current day. We ask that if you use this service, you stop by the library to pick up your job the same day. Much like printing from the library's computers, see staff at the public service desks to pay for your print jobs and pick them up. We accept cash or check, or you may use credit/debit cards as long as your print job is more than $3.00.
If you have questions, feel free to contact staff at any location.
