Animal Services working with MuttNation Foundation to Save Dogs

Post Date:05/11/2017 4:21 PM

Friday, May 12, at approximately 12:30 PM, Abilene Animal Services will welcome MuttNation, an animal welfare organization founded in 2009 by Miranda Lambert and her mother Bev Lambert, to the shelter to collect a number of dogs.  These dogs will be transported to Nashville for a Country Music Festival and Adoption event.

Animal Services works with rescue groups across Texas and the country to find homes for the stray animals that come into their care.

“We are very excited to work with MuttNation to provide great dogs for their event,” said Animal Services Director of Mirenda Walden.  “Our staff works tirelessly to find homes for our animals through adoptions and local, state and national rescue organizations.  It was through our networking and relationships with other organizations that we were recommended to MuttNation.”

The Abilene Animal Shelter is a great place to find a pet and we always encourage folks looking for a new fur-baby to come visit us at 925 S 25th St. Abilene, TX.
